Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly referred to as Chairman Wontumi, is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an interview with Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), Chairman Wontumi disclosed that he owns a gold chain worth $200,000. According to him, the chained is called “Wontumi”.
He also said on the KSM Show that his wristwatch, which has both gold and diamond components, cost him $120,000.
The politician, who is also a businessman, also revealed that he has over a 100 houses in the Ashanti region alone. He is generally known as a mogul in the mining industry, but dispelled the notion that he is involved in illegal mining.
“It is not galamsey. I have worked in the mining sector before. I had a large scale mining organization," he stated.
